There is no better way to illustrate late the Roger Moore period of James Bond than our hero calmly diffusing a nuclear bom while wearing a clown suit. The high stakes circus act that is Octopussy is a much loved, fondly remembered outing with some memorable action sequences and a stellar ensemble.
However it has its problems, specifically with it's colonial attitudes and portrayal of South Asian characters. At least for some fans these are problems.
In this episode of the OddjobPod Terry, Graham and Gary discuss the penultimate episode of Roger Moore's Bond canon, consider it's failings and celebrate its victories.
There are some considerably less problematic elements to this films and we rejoice in the movies absurdity and hi-jinks.
