The World Cup of James Bond - An OddJob Pod Podcast

Picture from The Nerds Uncanny
Listeners to the OddJob Pod may already know that we are big soccer fans and podcasters. So it is, in front of a live audience, with great ceremony and much imbibing that we celebrated Gary's last few nights in the UK before moving to Australia, settling once and for all which is the best James Bond film through the only fair way possible: the incredibly convoluted 24 team format used in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.

A warning, this episode was more of celebration than a podcast and much alcohol was consumed. Our thought processes may be hampered from time to time and sometimes the audience lost interest.

Oddjob Pod 16 - James Bond Soundscapes (or Crab Key Island Discs)

In this episode of the Oddjob Pod, Gary, Graham and Terry take a personal journey through the music of the James Bond films.

Each of them select two pieces of music that correspond with classic scenes from Bond films and tell us what it is about that music or that scene that they love. Some of us choose more than two because they are greedy and need to have their legs slapped.

A mix of most of the tracks featured in this episode is available via Mixcloud, below.

Oddjob Pod 15 - Sean Connery

Join Gary, Graham and a little bit of Terry as they discuss the Bond films of Sean Connery. We ponder his legacy and the qualities that the actor brought to the character. We also examine how much he influenced Ian Fleming's interpretation of 007 as he continued to write Bond novels plus the actors that played the role afterwards. We also have a bit of fun by ranking the Connery Bond films.
